More than
30 years
experience

The family business, founded by Mr. Denis Lucas, serves the Gatineau area from the Pontiac region to the Laurentians. Mr. Lucas’ son Mathieu became a shareholder in 2007 and then took over as sole owner in 2010. Mathieu is an experienced master electrician who has been practicing for twenty years.

At Lucas Électrique, the electricians are involved in all kinds of projects in the residential, commercial, and industrial spheres. The company works on multi-home building sites, dealerships, restaurants, hotels, factories, high-end custom-built homes, and more. How can a company set itself apart in this field?

With a loyal and highly skilled team. About twenty employees work at Lucas Électrique: a controller, an assistant, a master electrician, an estimator, a foreman, and the workers on a variety of worksites. All of the electricians are qualified and fully licensed to ensure flawless expertise for our customers. Most of them were also hired through references, ensuring good retention.

We don’t have a lot of employee turnover here because we treat our employees like they should be treated.

The company also encourages the next generation by choosing apprentices that need to accumulate 8000 hours of work before passing the exam that allows them to use the title of electrician. There are roughly twenty Lucas Électrique vehicles on the roads in our region.

Adapting to
changes

Over the years, the company has evolved and adapted to the changes required to prosper and expand. Two years ago, it underwent a major restructuring of its internal management and logistics systems to streamline its processes, perform better, and allow the company to grow. With the public’s growing interest in environmental awareness, the company has had to adapt to follow the industry, which is getting greener.

LED lights, electric charging stations, and control systems are all examples of the shift toward a more environmentally friendly future.

Lucas Électrique plans to continue to expand in the years to come.
